Guys,
Thanks, for your help with all my HF channel frustration.
The saga is not over. The latest update is the following:
The “secured” Cubes 950 (1000pF and 500pF) were placed between the Milq’s HF channel and the result was dissatisfying. The so...

Romy, Some very good points here... if I downloaded the correct schematic from your site for the 6-channel Melq amp (also has the term DSET in the title) then you have created a 6-channel SET amp with built-in crossover points. Your first ...

I started this thread on November 22 last year, or about 6 month ago. 3 years back I went for single stage amps and 6 month ago I begin to conceptualize a move for a higher gain for MF and consequentially the DHT in output stage. Today the new MF...

[quote user="Paul S"]While you are merely being empirical, there are actually plenty of devices that aim to "benefit" the end sound of SS gain by using tubes to "condition" the signal from DACs, etc. Also, there are plenty of commercial widgets ...

Guys, I am not kidding, something is VERY right in the sound of that tuber crossover combined with my SS amp. Even the ULF in this configuration has some properties that I would like to have improved but the from more holistic perspective the int...

Splitting the Lamm ML3 thread: http://www.goodsoundclub.com/TreeItem.aspx?PostID=3595

[quote user="Romy the Cat"]Sorry, Anthony,

I am in a similar situation although not as far along as you since my "phonocorrector" experiments are yet to start. I in fact have the same valve types lined up so when I discovered your site yesterday there was a strong assonance!

Hi
Good news if the analogue stages of the DCX2496 is so bad.
So the improvement of a modified unit should be worth the ekstra work,

Which is always good to know beforehand.

Paul, I do not think that “before or after RIAA losses” requirement has any merit as no matter what kind type RIAA filter is being used it always will lose around 20dB. I do not think also that there is a “safest path” or “reasonably affordable”....

I do not think that we recognize the process of “audio designing” as the identical actively. It looks as you peruse to design an amplifier (for instance) as a conceptually well operating system where a set of deferential abstractly-measurable v...
